During this time of concern over the spread of COVID-19, we need to reluctantly take some safety precautions. After receiving a message from Bishop Allende of the Northeastern Ohio Synod, strongly recommending short-term suspension of in-person gatherings, Good Soil’s Council is suspending worship services for the next two Sundays, March 22 and March 29.  We hope to resume worship services on Palm Sunday, April 5, but please watch your email (and this blog) for updates. The congregational meeting to vote on calling our new pastor is also being postponed. All extra Good Soil activities are also suspended or postponed.  The church office will remain open Monday-Friday. If you have a question about an activity at the church, please call 440-331-1773. As always, Pastor John can be reached on his cell phone if he’s not in the office.

We are looking into the possibility of live-streaming worship on Facebook or posting pre-recorded worship on YouTube. Keep a close eye on your email for updates. We will also post the information here on the website. Information is also being sent to those without email via “snail mail.”

In addition to suspending our worship services, Good Soil has also suspended all tenant activities at least through the end of the month. The only exception to this is that Meals on Wheels will continue to cook and deliver from the kitchen downstairs because there are so many elderly people who rely on the meals they supply. They are taking extra precautions to limit exposure.

Pray for each other and check in on those you know might need assistance.  Hope and love are never suspended.
